Any Jaume I: the Bairén valley before the feudal conquest
Opening lecture of the Any Jaume I series, given by the archaeologist Joan Negre, on the Bairén valley in the years before the feudal conquest: the settlement, the castle and the territory that would become historic Gandia. The session begins with the opening of a display of 13th-century archaeological material recovered in the Bairén valley. It is part of the programme with which Gandia marks the 750th anniversary of the death of James I.
