Correllengua 2026 in Gandia
The Correllengua is a festive, campaigning gathering in defence of the Valencian language and culture, driven by Acció Cultural del País Valencià (ACPV) and its Casal Jaume I de la Safor-Valldigna, which Gandia celebrates every year in late September. The 2026 edition takes place on Saturday 26 September from 6.30 pm in the Plaça del Rei Jaume I, in the heart of the old town. In previous years the day has opened with activities for children, continued with the parade of the Flama de la Llengua (the flame of the language) through the streets of the centre, with dolçaina players, drummers and folk dance groups, and ended with the reading of the manifesto, a communal supper and a concert in the square; this year's detailed programme had not been published when this listing was written. Supported by the CEIC Alfons el Vell and aviva Gandia, Gandia City Council's Valencian language promotion agency.
