Exhibition of José Benlliure at the Museu de Santa Clara
The Museu de Santa Clara is showing eight works by José Benlliure devoted to Saint Clare as part of the two-venue exhibition «El Poverello d'Assís sota la mirada de José Benlliure». The show brings back, a century later, the Franciscan cycle the Valencian painter created in 1926: 66 works kept at the Sant Esperit convent in Gilet, 58 of which are on display at the Casa Museu Benlliure in Valencia. It is organised by the Casa Museu Benlliure and the Museu de Santa Clara, with the collaboration of Gandia Town Council's Culture Department.
