17th Festa/Sopar Estellés: poetry and supper in Gandia’s Plaça Major
A popular tribute to the poet Vicent Andrés Estellés in the Plaça Major, inspired by the Scottish Burns Supper. It opens with an open-mic recital where anyone can read one of his poems, continues with a performance by singer-songwriter Andreu Valor, who has set many of his verses to music, and ends with a shared picnic-style supper in the square itself. The 17th edition of a gathering that celebrates poetry and the Valencian language out on the street.
Thursday 17 September 2026 at 8 pm in the Plaça Major. Open-air event, free to join. Anyone wishing to read a poem can reserve it by email at saforissims@gmail.com to avoid repeats. Bring your own supper (cabasset).
