Ruega por nosotras: a dramatised reading at the Casa de la Marquesa
Gandia hosts the dramatised reading 'Ruega por nosotras', a stage piece based on the work of the writer and journalist Consuelo García del Cid Guerra about the women held in the centres of the Patronato de Protección a la Mujer during the Franco era. The 30-minute performance, directed by Paula Peña, is staged by the Valencian collective Las Concejalas and draws on real letters written by those women. Aimed at adult audiences (16 and over), it is supported by the Equality department of Gandia town council.
