From 28 to 30 September 2026, Gandia hosts the IV SetDeCIM, with three sessions devoted to mountain film and culture in Room B at Teatre Serrano. Each evening begins at 20:00, and admission is free until the 200-seat capacity is reached.

Club Alpí Gandia brings together three guests with very different careers for this edition. The talks and screenings explore the experience of an Iranian mountaineer, the work of a high-altitude camera operator and several decades of difficult climbing.
IV SetDeCIM 2026 programme
Monday 28: Parvaneh Kazemi
The opening session, “An Iranian woman on top of the world”, presents the career of Parvaneh Kazemi. The mountaineer will discuss autonomy and freedom through her experience in the world’s great mountain ranges. Kazemi was the first woman in the world to climb Everest and Lhotse within the same week.
Tuesday 29: Luís Miguel Soriano
Luís Miguel Soriano presents “Mountains through a camera”, a visual journey through major mountain ranges and international expeditions. The session offers an insight into the work of a high-altitude camera operator and photographer who documents mountaineering in demanding conditions.
Wednesday 30: Miguel Ángel García Gallego
The series concludes with Miguel Ángel García Gallego, known as “El Murciano”, and the talk “A life among mountains”. His career includes the first winter ascent of the west face of Naranjo de Bulnes and opening routes on El Capitan and the Trango Towers. The III Club Alpí Gandia Photography Competition awards will be presented after the session.
Photography and mountain culture in Gandia
Throughout the three evenings, the Teatre Serrano foyer will display the selected works from the club’s photography competition. The exhibition complements the programme with images taken by enthusiasts of nature, climbing and mountain activities.
Anyone wishing to continue exploring the surroundings near the city can discover the Penya Roja sport-climbing area or plan the route to Molló de la Creu. Both offer ways to experience Gandia’s mountain landscape with suitable planning and equipment.
