For a week, federated players from all over Spain compete in the city in one of the events on the national calendar of the Royal Spanish Billiards Federation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<!--more-->\n\n\n\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The event is organised by <a href=\"http:\/\/gandiabillarclub.es\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Gandia Billar Club<\/strong><\/a> and the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fbillarcv.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Federaci\u00f3 de Billar de la Comunitat Valenciana<\/strong><\/a>, under the auspices of the <a href=\"https:\/\/rfeb.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Royal Spanish Billiards Federation<\/strong><\/a> (RFEB). To score a point, the player\u2019s cue ball must contact the second ball and rebound off at least three cushions before reaching the third. It is a discipline of precision and geometric calculation that is easy to follow even without knowing the rules.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Dates_venue_and_format\"><\/span>Dates, venue and format<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The competition takes place at the <strong>Gandia Billar Club<\/strong> premises at <strong>Carrer Miramar, 13<\/strong>, right in the town centre, on <strong>four Rufes tables<\/strong> with RFEB-approved equipment. The final is scheduled for <strong>Sunday 4 October at 12:30<\/strong>. The official start date is Monday 28 September, although the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fbillarcv.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/Convocatoria-GPE-Gandia2026.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">official announcement<\/a> warns that the first rounds could be brought forward by a few days if more than 120 players enter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Participants:<\/strong> Spanish players and foreign players legally resident in Spain holding a valid federation licence, entered through their regional federations.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Entry deadline:<\/strong> Friday <strong>11 September 2026<\/strong>; the final list of entrants is published on the <a href=\"https:\/\/rfeb.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">RFEB website<\/a> in the following days.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Format:<\/strong> preliminary rounds, a qualifying round for the last 32 and knockout stages under RFEB rules, with trophies for the top four finishers.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Watching_the_matches_as_a_spectator\"><\/span>Watching the matches as a spectator<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">At the 2024 edition, which brought together <strong>128 players<\/strong> and set a national participation record, matches were played between 10:00 and 20:00 and public access was free of charge.
