Playa Nord in Gandia provides adapted services and equipment so that people with reduced mobility can enjoy the sea with professional assistance throughout the bathing season.
Three accessible bathing points on Playa Nord
Playa Nord features three accessible bathing areas staffed by Cruz Roja bathing assistants: Canarias, Manila and President. They are located level with the streets of the same name and provide:
- Reserved parking
- Free shaded areas
- Adapted toilet cabins
- Showers, shower chair and changing table
- Amphibious wheelchairs to facilitate access to the sea
Bookings and rules of use
To use the service, it is necessary to book in advance by calling the Tourist Office on +34 96 284 24 07. Bookings are made for maximum periods of one week and may be renewed.
- The maximum use time for the amphibious wheelchair is 20 minutes per person.
- For safety reasons, bathing is not permitted under a red or yellow flag.
- The maximum stay in the assigned shaded area is one hour and 30 minutes.
- If you are unable to attend, please contact the Tourist Office to cancel your booking.
Accessible bathing timetable for 2026
The adapted bathing service is offered from 1 June to 30 September 2026. The Canarias station is open throughout this period; Manila and President operate in July and August.
