On Wednesday 14 October 2026 at 19:30, the Gandia Pensa reflection forum devotes a new session to artificial intelligence at the Casa de Cultura Marqués de González de Quirós, with free admission until the venue is full.

The session is entitled “Humanitats i ètica al voltant de la intel·ligència artificial” (humanities and ethics around artificial intelligence) and brings together two voices from different fields to discuss the limits, the opportunities and the questions raised by a technology that is already part of everyday life.
A dialogue between physics, literature and communication
The guests of the session are:
- Agustín Fernández Mallo, writer and physicist, author of the essay El ángel de la Inteligencia Artificial.
- María Jesús Espinosa de los Monteros, journalist, cultural manager and managing director of PRISA Audio, whose career has been linked to innovation and to new narrative and communication formats.
The conversation takes Fernández Mallo’s book as its starting point. It approaches artificial intelligence by bringing together physics, anthropology, metaphysics and theology, and raises a fundamental question: what are we really trying to create when we talk about artificial intelligence? Espinosa de los Monteros will contribute the perspective of someone who works where technology, communication and culture meet, focusing on how the ways we create and share content are changing.

The session sets the debate on reflective ground, the ground of questions, with a nuanced view of technology. Talking about artificial intelligence also means talking about people: their expectations, their fears and the way they understand the world around them.
