Cinema: «La voz quebrada»
Release at Cines ABC Gandia of «La voz quebrada», an 88-minute documentary not recommended for under-12s. In the summer of 1936, Federico García Lorca and the young Juan Ramírez de Lucas planned to leave Spain and start a new life far from a society that forced them to keep their relationship secret. That journey never happened: weeks later, Lorca was murdered in Granada at the start of the Civil War. Ninety years on, Manuel Menchón's documentary recovers that truncated story and explores an intimate, loving dimension of Lorca linked to the last months of his life.
